Step Up and Make a Change

Step Up and Make a Change

VZUHU7JPV6P9 This week, I want to talk to you about 2 expressions, “step up” and “change” because, I am sure you hear and read these expressions and words a lot, so this is what my post is all about, what these words mean to me and my business and how you can apply these concepts to your own business.

You need to step up to move forward. You need to change to move forward.

Things are not going to change until you decide to change them yourself. As a business owner – you need to grasp this fundamental rule.

When you realise the truth of this, and take the necessary action to make it happen, you begin taking responsibility for your business and your future. This is you stepping up.

If you don’t step up, if you don’t change anything today, tomorrow will be exactly the same. You won’t make any progress; your business won’t grow.

But if you develop a mindset that is absolutely unstoppable (and, you can), one that embraces the positive and gives you the power to initiate change, you will see your business flourish.

Change is a catalyst.
If you are going to change your business, you must do something to get your business moving in the direction you want it to go.

Change is instant. Once you take the action to implement a change, you will be propelled further along the road to your business vision.

It’s easy to find excuses for not making a change. It’s easy to say, “I really don’t have the time to change things; I have to keep doing what I’m doing now.” But if you truly set your mind to accomplishing something, you will find the time to do it. If you just stop doing things, for just a little while, and think about where you want your business to go, you will recognise the change that you need to make. And you’ll find the time to do it.

Change leads to growth.
Once you’ve made a change, your business will begin to grow. But you will need to invest to make it happen. You have to invest in order to grow. You have to invest in order to step up. If you don’t, things will stay just as they are.

As a business owner, you need to consider the return that you will get from any investment you make. This requires being proactive, having a plan for your investments. Think about what you are going to gain from each investment you make.

There are so many resources to consider investing in for your business. For example, you might consider buying a product, working with a mentor, with a coach, with a mastermind group, attending an event, a training, a conference, but are hesitant because of the fees. But, always ask yourself: what will you gain in return? Accountability, support, guidance, wisdom, knowledge, learnings, network… All of these are invaluable to your business success.

Once you make the decision to step up and initiate change, you will see results. The proof will be evident as you approach your business aspirations. The results will speak for themselves, and they will tell you that you made the right decision. They will make you glad that you decided to step up.

Until next time! ;-)

Both my blog and my newsletters are updated weekly, but the newsletters are VERY different; while I use my blog to share some information about a particular aspect of mindset, in my newsletters, I go the extra mile!!!

The newsletters are more personal and not at all like the blog, insofar as the tone. With the newsletters, you also get an inside view on my business life, mindset articles, weekly challenges, mindset success stories and more!

If you’re happy with the blog, stick with it. Otherwise, I really want you to consider this free newsletter.

  2. Hi Frederique,

Great article – really enjoyed it.

I heard a great saying recently along the same lines as this: “If you want to see some changes in your life, you have to make some changes in your life”

    Thanks for posting,

    Aidan
